Laura & Kent

Laura and Kent were married Saturday at Twigs Tempietto in Greenville. The day started early for as the ceremony began at 11:30am. The day was a little cooler than it has been recently and the threat of rain hovered close by. Laura looked beautiful and her dress was stunning on her. Here she is getting ready for the big day.

While waiting on the bridesmaids to finish getting dressed we were able to get some shots of Laura by herself. Before the groom arrived we were able be out at the ceremony site.
But once Kent got there, she was confined to her room. I loved the light shining down in the room and had to play with it some.
Laura had the cutest favors.....mini wedding dresses and tuxedos filled with M&Ms....I loved them! This was the first time I had been to Twigs when it has been set up for an event. They have done a great job and I loved the intimite feeling.
Laura's sister Leslie got a little emotional at the beginning of the ceremony.
Although it rained a little bit while we were doing portraits, it quickly cleared up and the sun starting trying to shine through the clouds just before the wedding. Here are a few ceremony pics.
Their family and friends were all smiles. I love the archway with all the vines hanging down...very pretty.
The happy couple! After the ceremony we had some time for the bride and groom alone....
Then it was off to the reception and time for their first dance as husband and wife!
The father-daughter dance went from Laura and her dad....
to a father-daughters dance.
Kent's mom was all smiles as she shared a dance with her son.
I love the laughter!
This is kind of small, but the groomsmen and ushers didn't take long to crowd the dancefloor! The Life of the Party's DJ, Robert Batson, did a great job of getting everyone out on the floor!
I have to say that with my new lens I can get great shots of wedding guests from far away - I love not being obtrusive at a wedding!
Now for some details.....a couple of ring shots with Laura's calla lily bouquet.
And of course the cake!
Kent was a really brave man.....
And Laura tried to get revenge!!!! I sort of like the motion blur here. I think this is the first wedding I've been to that the single guys actually have their hands up waiting for the garter toss.
I give Laura credit for having the best bouquet toss so far....all three times she threw it!!!
I think when there's a chocolate fountain at a wedding, Marty always keeps an eye out for the kids.
The rain held off the rest of the day and Laura and Kent had their rose petal exit as planned!
Off to the honeymoon!!!!
Laura and Kent - I hope you guys have a GREAT time in Mexico!!!! Your wedding day was perfect!!!!
