Melissa Waldrep Bridal Portrait

Monday I met Melissa out at Furman for her bridal portraits. While I was waiting on her and her mom to get there I was kind of worried...there were a few sprinkles on my windshield and I heard thunder. Luckily the storm went around us!!! I was excited when Melissa told me she wanted to do her session at Furman without it being "Furman-ish" - so we looked for the not-so-obvious places to shoot.

We got some really great shots, but I can only give you a sneak peek right now. Here is her beautiful ring....
And one shot from Marty that I thought was really cute - don't know why I like this shot but I do! Melissa - you looked amazing! I can't wait to get your session posted so you can see!!!!

Beth Anderson Bridal Portraits

Yesterday I met Beth along with her mom and sister out at Furman for her bridal portrait. Beth looked very pretty in her dress and her hair was beautiful - unfortunately it was a little chilly outside and she was just a little cold!!!! But, she toughed it out and we got some amazing shots of her near the chapel on the campus. I can't wait for her to see them - but for now, here's the only sneak peek I can post until her big day in May!!!!!

Wendi & Ryan

Marty and I met Wendi and Ryan out at Furman on Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful day and there were plenty of people out there!!! We couldn't have asked for better weather and I think we got some great shots. Here are my favorites...

I love the way the sun falls on Wendi's hair in this one.
With Ryan being a Furman alumni, we had to be sure to get the clock tower in some shots!
Another one that I love the sun in.
I met Wendi at the Wedding Festival last month. I really enjoyed talking with her about her wedding. It was great meeting Ryan too - he's too funny!
We finally made our way to the other side of the lake.....I think we broke up a football game when we went through one grassy area to get to the tree!A little fun in the grass - after searching for a place with no goose poop! This was a very neat tree....
A little fun with the sun and shadows.
Finally we ended up at the back of the rose garden on a set of steps....I love the color of the bricks in these two pics.
I couldn't resist getting a shot of Wendi's beautful ring!
We had a great time with you two walking around campus. June will be here before you know it!!!! We can't wait til your big day!

Elizabeth's Bridal Portrait

Friday I met Elizabeth out at Furman for her bridal portrait. Unfortunately due to construction, we could not shoot at the lake and bell tower. However, we did get some great shots in some other locations - I guess having a beautiful bride helps some too! Elizabeth looked amazing and I will be able to show you my favorites soon - the wedding is coming up this Saturday. For now, this is the only peek you get!!!! This is Alex, her son - I think he's going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up!It was great working with you Liz! I hope you have a wonderful wedding day!

Angela & Bert

Back in January - the 27th to be exact - Marty and I took a trip to Columbia, SC to shoot Angela & Bert's wedding, but for some reason, I never got around to posting it on the blog. So, I finally decided that I was taking care of that today.

I loved Angela's dress!

Angela's aunt was there to help her get ready.
I don't normally get emotional at weddings, but I will admit that behind the camera my eyes got watery more than once that day! Anglea and her aunt shared the first emotional moment together before walking out the door of the hotel room.
Bert kept glancing at Angela throughout the ceremony. You could tell these two care so much for one another.

Following the ceremony, I took the couple outside the hotel for a few pictures with just them.
Back inside, Angela & Bert share their first dance as a married couple. The smile on their faces beamed with happiness.
After a search for the missing father of the bride, more emotional moments were shared when Angela danced with her dad. Seems he was MIA due to a wardrobe change!

And I can finally post some of Angela's bridal portraits.
This last picture ended up having a special meaning to it. When Angela's dad saw the picture and that we were out at Furman University he told Angela that he had laid the bricks that she was standing on. I thought that added such a special touch to the portrait.
