Brides, brides and more brides!

Marty and I had a great time last night at the Wedding Festival. We had so many brides stop by our booth to look at albums, ask some questions, etc. It was great meeting everyone and chatting with all of them!

Here are some shots from my point and shoot.... New this year was the Photographer's Gallery....we decided to participate and these were the two images we chose to contribute to it. I think it's a great idea, but not sure it was in a location that was very noticeable. Thanks to Marc and Colleen for all their hard work. I know it takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to put on these shows. And the new entrance was fantastic. I loved how participants were able to walk through an actual ceremony and reception set up as they came in the door!

We are in booth #96 and will be there from 4pm to 9pm. And yes we are offering a special to all of the brides-to-be BUT it won't be posted on the blog until after the show! Busy, busy, busy

I just wanted to say sorry really quickly to those of you waiting on your sneak peek to be posted on the blog! I have 5 sessions from last week that have not been posted on the blog due to me trying to get some editing caught up! I do apologize but please keep a check on the blog this week as I will be posting and getting everyone's sneak peek up!!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Formerly known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day is a day to remember and honor those men and women who have passed away while serving our country. All of us should keep in mind that we live in a free nation because of the ultimate sacrifice of those being honored today. Please take a moment and pay tribute to those veterans who gave their life so that we may have the freedom we do today.As a special for Memorial Day, any weddings booked before Saturday June 14th will receive a free bridal portrait session! And just to post a fun picture to go along with this post....some of our friends and family know that Marty and I have been participating in a photo scavenger hunt with Wedding Festivals....one of the images we needed was hot air balloons. With Freedom Weekend Aloft being this weekend, it was the perfect opportunity to get that picture we needed. After a bridal portrait session yesterday we headed toward Simpsonville to see some of the balloons flying. Even though this shot was taken with our point and shoot, I like it.

Happy Easter Special

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter today! Although it was slightly cooler than the past two days have been it was still a gorgeous day outside!!!! Whether you spent the day with family and friends, hunting eggs, or getting too much to eat, I hope that you all kept in mind the reason behind the holiday - the celebration of Jesus Christ's resurrection from death. So, I am curious to know who all had a visit from someone special????

As a special for Easter we will be offering $200 in additional print credit for any wedding packages booked before April 1st! This can be used for prints only - it may not be applied towards a session fee or any other products - prints only! March 31st is your last day to take advantage of this special - don't wait until it's too late!!!!

Where are my proofs?

If you have visited my PhotoReflect site recently to view your proofs you may have noticed that there weren't any events listed on the main page and you had to click on Show All Photos to get to them. Well, I have fixed the problem. Apparently there were some changes PhotoReflect made that require us to put in some portfolio images on some of the storefronts and didn't tell anyone!!!! So, now you will see images scrolling on the center of the page and the events listed to the left. You can also click on Portfolio at the top of the PhotoReflect site to see all of the images in our Portfolio gallery now. Click here to take a peek!

A few blog changes

So, I made a few changes on the blog....can you tell what they are??? One I will tell you....the others you'll have to guess at!!!!!

At the bottom of each post there is now a little white envelope. You can click on the envelope and email that post to someone....neat huh???

Thank you to all the many brides who stopped by to chat with us at yesterday's wedding festival. I was so amazed at how many 2009 and 2010 brides there were. I will defintely say if you are getting married in May of 2009 you really need to book your vendors early - there will be a ton of May weddings next year!!!!!

We had a great time meeting lots of new people and hearing all about your upcoming weddings!

Some changes for 2008!

Okay, so first of all yes I am still alive! I know I've been neglecting the blog lately and I promise that I am going to get back to blogging on a regular basis. For now I wanted to bring up some much needed changes for the new year. For starters, I have been working on updating the galleries on my website FINALLY! I am not completely finished but the majority of them are up with fresh new images so check it out when you have a chance.

Also, we have updated our pricing for 2008. New packages have been slightly restructured to offer our clients a wider variety of products. We will now be offering an assortment of albums and other new products so that we can serve our clients to the best of our ability.

I have been out of town about half of the month of January it seems like so I haven't had a chance to catch back up with all the sessions before Christmas, but starting next week check the blog daily for new posts! I promise to get everyone caught up on all my work!!!!

What's going on???

What? No new blog posts since the first of November??? I know, I know....sorry everyone! Between being out of town and trying to get caught up on some major editing I have not been updating the blog. Shame on me!!! I know several people wanting to see sneak peeks of their sessions, but honestly I just haven't had time. With all the Christmas sessions I've been shooting and all the weddings needing to be edited I have made those a priority!!!!

So...I just wanted to let everyone know that yes, I am still alive and busier than ever!!!!! I promise to have tons of blog entries soon - I think I am about 10 sessions behind on blog posts!!!!! Until then, everyone stay safe and please don't remind me how many days there are until Christmas!!!!

Free Child Portrait Session!!

Yep…that’s right, FREE! What’s the catch? Well, for starters, you have to email me by 4:00pm Monday August 13th and tell me in 5 sentences or less why I should pick you and your child/children. Also, the session MUST be scheduled for the evening of Thursday August 16th or the evening of Saturday August 18th only!

Here are the rules:
* You must have at least one child between the ages of 2 and 5 years old
* You must have no more than 5 children total
* Session will take place at an outdoor location selected by me
* Your child must NOT already know me personally!

The winner will be notified via email and a blog post on Tuesday August 14th.
