All-in-one session

Today Angela and her family came over for an all-in-one session. We started by taking some shots of Mackenzie in her dance outfits. Then we got Angela and Gerry alone for a few pics, then Blake and Mackenzie joined them for a family portrait. After a stop at Mythos for lunch, we finished our session at Herdklotz park where we took some shots of Blake for his birthday party invitations.

...and then the whole gang! Herdklotz is a new park that has just opened up. It's on the site of an old tuberculosis hospital, but you would never know it. The park is really nice and has a huge playground.

Tired of being bored at my house while Mackenzie was doing her session, Blake was excited to get to play.

We had fun going to the park with all of you! Maybe next time we'll have more time to play! :0)

Kerrie Ford Bridal Portraits

On Sunday I went to downtown Spartanburg to shoot Kerrie's bridal portaits. Kerrie was so laid back and really easy to work with. She looked amazing and as much as I wish I could show her portraits, I can't until after their wedding! This is the ONLY peak you get until their big day!



It was great meeting your mom Kerrie! I hope that you two enjoy the end result of the shoot -- just don't let Jerry see!!!! :0)

Miss Relay for Life Pageant

I had the opportunity to take portraits for the girls in the Miss Relay for Life Pageant at Northwood Baptist Church in Greer this past Saturday. Congratulations to all the winners - and thank you for being a part of an event to help raise money for a great cause. All the girls were very beautiful!!!

For those of you who know me know I gravitate towards the children when I am behind my camera. I can't explain why - that's just the way it is. So naturally, here is my favorite contestant who stopped by to have her portrait made...she is just too cute!

Congratulations everyone and keep on raising money to help support Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.

It's a Prom Thing winner!!!

To help raise money for our Relay for Life Team, Kaye Marie's Bridal and Formalwear in Greer sold raffle tickets for "It's a Prom Thing!". The package consisted of things a girl would need in order to prepare for her prom night including a portait package donated by us! Mackenzie was the lucky winner and yesterday she stopped by with her prom date to have their portrait made on the way to prom.
I definitely like close-up shots! These two look great together!

A very special visit

Today I had a very special visit from my friend Alicia and her son Xavier. They drove up from Columbia to spend a little time with me today. We ate lunch and were hoping to take Xavier out to the park to do some pictures, but with all the rain, we stayed inside. I don't think Xavier minded - he had fun playing and exploring a new place today! I absolutely love his expression!
Not sure if he was trying to get me to smell his feet or what here, but I got a smile from him!
He is just soo cute that I had to post several images!
After the rocking chair, we put Xavier in the wash tub! At first we got the results of a day without a nap, but once he got a snack, he was good to go!
Mom was being silly or at least Xavier thought so!
Even though it rained all day I am really glad Alicia and her little man came to visit me! Thank you so much for coming to spend some time with me - I enjoyed our day together and can't wait to see you two again!

And, before I forget - Happy (early) Birthday Alicia! A week from today she joins the rest of us in finally turning the big 30!!!!! :0)

Kerrie & Jerry

Today Marty and I went to downtown Greenville with Kerrie and Jerry for their engagement portraits. We started off at the Rock Quarry where we shot some more traditional poses. The grass is always nice and green there and the flowers are so beautiful!

Jerry and Kerrie looked great together - his shirt matched the flowers in her dress perfectly.

I love the way Kerrie is looking at the camera in this shot.
Then it was time for them to give each other a peck on the cheek!

After we left the Rock Quarry we headed up to Main St. to play around a little. I love this wall on the side of the Army Navy Store.
I think this is definitely one of my favorite shots!

We then walked down through Reedy River Park which was overflowing with people. We were finally able to find a perfect shady spot where we could be alone.

Congratulations on your engagement! We can't wait for the wedding to be here!

Jonathan & Allison

Today I met Jonathan and Allison out at Miliken for their prom pictures. They look so cute together and I can hardly believe that my little cousin is all grown up now!

I love this shot of their beautiful flowers!
I haven't been out to Miliken that much, so it was nice to shoot in a new location. I loved this pathway lined with trees.
And of course we had to get some of Miss Allison by herself! She really looked great in her dress!

Ayla's Softball Pictures

Today I went out to the ball field to take some pictures of Miss Ayla in her softball uniform. The weather was so nice outside and we had fun joking around.

Sasha's First Birthday Party

Today was Miss Sasha's first birthday party. It seems like only yesterday that we were taking pictures of her in the hospital when she was born.
Grown-ups can have fun too!
