Charles & Alice Marcy

Today Charles and Alice came by this morning for a short portrait session. In just a few days is their 50th wedding anniversary! I get so used to working with kids - it still worries me sometimes when my adult sessions don't take long at all......it's so much easier to get the adults to look at you and smile!!!! Anyway, it was great meeting Charles and Alice and getting to know them a little! Here's my favorite - don't they look great together!!!!!

Leslie's Bridals

Now that their big day has passed I can show you my favorites from Leslie's bridal portrait session. If you remember from the sneak peek, we travelled to Huntington Beach State Park in Murrell's Inlet for the session. Here they are!

I loved this wall!
The next ones are a few from inside Atalaya.
Leslie's eyes are so blue. I love the color of them in this one.
Then we headed out on the beach for a few shots.
It was a long day of riding in the car, but we got some awesome shots! I hope to go back there soon and be able to see the rest of the house!
A big thank you to Timala Williams from Begonias in Bloom for making the gorgeous bouquet for us!

Leslie & Mardy

So there are two weddings this year that I have been extremely excited about shooting and this past Saturday was one of them. It's those weddings where you feel more like a friend than someone working. Leslie is one of those people who is definitely a friend and I was super excited that her wedding day was finally here. I will warn you - this is going to be a long post!

We started out with some getting ready shots at Leslie's where all the girls were having their hair done. Freckles was so funny - you could tell she was exhausted from all of the excitement of the day!
Leslie's daughter Tori was very happy with Saundra's work on her hair. She look so grown up!
Leslie checking out her hair as Shauna was finishing up with it. I love her tank top!
We finally headed over to Gassaway Mansion for the ceremony! While I went upstairs with the girls, Marty headed to get some awesome details shots. I thought the wreaths on the columns were awesome. The getaway car - it was sweet!!!!
And the favors - I loved the monogrammed cookies from Now That's a Cookie.
Back upstairs I was hanging out with the girls and getting some detail shots of my own - Leslie's sexy shoes!!!!
And her gorgeous dress....
After some last minute touch ups - it was time for the ceremony!

Although it poured down rain minutes before the ceremony, it turned into a light drizzle and eventually stopped. The weather may not have been beautiful, but the ceremony was!
Instead of the traditional unity candle, Leslie and Mardy had a sand ceremony with their kids. It was very touching and a great idea to incorporate their two families into one.
The newlyweds!
I love that Leslie didn't want anything too traditional. It really gives me the opportunity to be creative and have fun with everyone! Here's Leslie and her girls...and a little attitude!
And then having some fun with the guys!
While Mardy had some fun with the girls.
Then is was time for me to get Leslie and Mardy alone for some great shots! I am so glad the rain stopped and we were able to go outside for a few.
Leslie changed into her second dress for the night and we had a little more fun. The next two are definitely my favorites, but I couldn't decide between the two. I like the close-up one a lot.
The flowers were amazing too - I loved Leslie's bouquet.
Back inside the mansion we were able to get a few more. Another one of my favorites!
The rings.....
And the cake! Susan at Couture Cakes does great work - but Leslie's cake was the best I've seen by far. Not only does it look good, but the taste is my favorite!!!!
Everyone had a great time dancing!!!! I don't think I stopped laughing the whole night!
Getting ready for the bouquet toss....
Leslie had fun tricking the girls on the first throw! Then it was time for some more dancing!
I know their had to be some tired people at the end of the night! Finally it was time for these two to leave!
We had so much fun with you guys!!!! I can't wait for you to get back from your honeymoon! I hope you both have a great time and stay safe!!!

Brantely & Ansley

Sunday I met Brantley & Ansley out at the Rock Quarry for a session. The weather was so nice and these two couldn't have done a better job! They were both in a wedding we shot last year and it was great to see them again! Here are some of my favorites from their session.
Ansley looks so grown up in this one to me!

She is too cute!
And Brantley just looks like a little man!
I like Ansley's eyes in this one!
Both of them would do whatever I asked them to do!!! I love those sessions!
One more of Brantley by himself.
And Ansley too!
Some brothers and sisters don't care to hug each other, but it didn't bother these two!
They didn't mind being close at all.
One last shot....had to get the piggies in there!
Mandy - it was good to see you Sunday and get to see Brantley and Ansley again - I can't believe how much it seems like Ansley has grown since last year!!! You're going to have your hands full when she gets older!!!! :0)
