The Folk Family

Monday Marty and I met the Folk Family out at the Rock Quarry for a session. We were planning to do some of the whole family and then some of little Kaylee by herself. I have to say she was too cute! I had so much fun chasing her around and watching her run. It's so funny how when kids start walking they want to be so independent. It can be one of the most difficult ages to photograph, but at the same time one of the most fun too!

Here's some of Kaylee by herself. She looked like she wasn't too sure of me at first!
But then she had some smiles!

Kaylee and her mama!
Then all three of them! I had so many favorites of these, that I couldn't pick just one!
Kaylee and her daddy!I love the close-up shots! As she was running, she stopped and turned around - like she was wondering why we weren't following her! Becky it was great to meet you and your family! We had fun getting to know you guys and running around with Kaylee! You definitely have a cutie pie!!!!!

Amanda's Senior Session

Wednesday Marty and I met Amanda at the Botanical Gardens in Clemson for a senior session. We had a great time getting to know Amanda and she was very comfortable in front of the camera! I think we got some amazing shots of her - here are a few of my favorites!

It was great to meet you and your mom Amanda! Marty enjoyed getting to go to Clemson - it always gives him a chance to have a Cheeseburger Steak at Mac's for dinner!

Maranda's Bridal Portraits

Now that Maranda is a Mrs. I can show you my favorites from her bridal portrait session!

Maranda & Jeff

Saturday the weather couldn't have been more perfect for a wedding! The temperature is finally starting to cool off some and not a rain cloud in sight!!!!!! Marty and I arrived at Creekside Plantation a little early and were able to get some detail shots in before everyone arrived. The sun coming through the trees was beautiful and I couldn't help but play with it throughout the day....here is just the beginning.....The wedding favors all ready to go and waiting on the guests.
Maranda's vintage-looking dress was so perfect for her!

The studded shoes and a gift from Maranda's mom!
Maranda sneaking a peek of her handsome groom out the window!
While I was upstairs with the bride, Marty was down capturing some great shots of the house and the couples monogrammed photo album.
Regina helping her daughter be sure the veil was perfect!
While we were waiting, I decided to get some quick shots of Maranda with Jeff's ring.
Now typically it's the bride who is nervous, but I definitely think Jeff had Maranda beat! Right before the portraits of the guys he informed me that he had already thrown up once time. I instructed him that during the ceremony, if he got sick to lean over the wall. I have to say, he definitely had me worried!
All the women upstairs were watching the guests arrive!
Jeff and Maranda's grandfather waiting for the ceremony to begin.
Maranda's mom walked her down the aisle!
Jeff smiling as he waited on his bride.
The ceremony.
Again, had to play with the sun a little!
After scaring me just a little when Jeff was saying his vows....it was finally time for the kiss!
Sometimes I think it is the kiss after the recessional that's the best!
Jeff smiling as he came back to get his mom....he was finally relived by this point!
Maranda held her tears in during the ceremony to be strong for Jeff, but once it was over the emotions began!
I think my most favorite part of the day is after the formal portraits when I can take the bride and groom away for a few minutes. This allows them some alone time and me some time to get some great shots!
Then it was time for the reception. I love Marty's shot of the first dance!
Now for some more details.....the rings!
And the Kathy and Company cake!
After the cutting of the cake, it was time for a toast!
Except Jeff doesn't like wine so much! Don't worry, I'm in complete agreement on that one Jeff!
One of the tables outside at Creekside has a candelier hanging over it.....it made for a great shot!
Now, after the sun went down, I cut our light on and had some fun with it. One thing I love about having Marty second shoot with me is the different perspectives we both have....as I am capturing this shot....
...he is capturing this one!
Everyone had a great time dancing to the music!
Until it was time for the newlyweds to leave!
Did I mention they left in a sweet car? Congratulations Maranda and Jeff! I'm so happy for you both! I hope you two have a wonderful time on your honeymoon!!!!!
